The Reveal.. Almost. Part Twelve!

I FINALLY DID IT BE PROUD OF ME Also enjoy the Plikki >-< ~~~~~ Marinette went to take a spoon as Adrien went to do the same thing. Their hands bumped against each other and Marinette blushed. Where was Alya? Her friend had totally set her up.  Adrien rubbed the back of his neck nervously. He wished for the freedom of his Chat Noir mask, but that didn't look like it was happening any time soon. "So.. uh.. how have you been up to lately?" he said, stumbling over his words. Unbeknownst to both of them, the two kwamis were watching. "Humans are so weird," Plagg grumbled under his breath. "Why don't they just eat the ice-cream? I'll be back here, with my camembert, if you need me." The cat kwami dived down to the back of the booth. "They're about to kiss!" Tikki whispered. Plagg jumped back up. "Waaaait where!" "Fooled you!" she whisper-sang. "So you do  care..." "Maybe a little,...

The Reveal... Almost. Part 11!

Marinette almost jumped. 'Huh? Oh, yeah. Alya knows Marcus- that's the guy over there- apparently she's his cousin. And yeah.. we had a bit of spare time before we were planning to go to a movie.. so yeah. How did you find it?' 'I, uh, well, I was just kinda wandering around, when I realised I was near a marketplace.. I went to go explore, and then I found this place! It's really cool, I wonder why it doesn't get more customers. Although,' he added as an afterthought, 'we'll have to wait and see what the ice-cream tastes like.' 'Yeah, that's true,' Marinette agreed. 'Well, you two are about to find out!' Marcus said, presenting the sundae with a flourish. Please, take a seat!' Adrien, ever the gentleman, gestured for Marinette to sit down before he did. She chose a table in the corner, with a cushioned bench along the wall, and a window looking out over the Seine. Marinette claimed the window seat, while Adrie...

The Reveal.. Almost. Part 10!

Marinette looked at Marcus, eyebrows raised. 'Alya?' she mouthed. He inclined his head slightly, and returned the look with an open smile. 'So, what'll it be? Cup, cone, or,' he lowered his voice knowingly, 'will it be a romantic sundae for two?' Adrien shrugged, leaving the answer up to Marinette, who decided to take the plunge. She looked over at Adrien, as if asking permission, and he nodded in encouragement. 'Sundae, please,' she said firmly, showing no sign of her tumultuous emotions. Behind Marinette's back, Adrien smiled, happily. Marcus caught his gaze. 'Good going, dude,' he mouthed. Then, turning his attention back to Marinette, he smiled. 'So, what flavour?' Marinette shrugged. 'Adrien, y-you can choose if you like,' she stammered, realising what she had just done. She had ordered a freakin' ROMANTIC SUNDAE to share with Adrien! She was gonna kill Alya.. if she survived this. Although, he was Chat Noi...

The Reveal... Almost. Part Nine!

As Marinette and Alya got off the train, Marinette checked her phone. 'We still have half an hour before the movie starts- what do you wanna do? We could get ice-cream, maybe, or-' 'Mm, ice-cream.. let's go with that,' Alya smiled. 'I know a place...' As the best friends walked towards the ice-cream parlour, Marinette asked Alya a question. 'Hey, Alya?' 'Mm?' Alya gestured for her to continue. 'Do you ever think you'd like to be a superhero? Like Ladybug and Chat Noir?' Alya looked at Marinette. 'Are you kidding me? Of course! It would be sooo awesome! Why do you ask?' 'Oh, no reason.' Marinette smiled to herself. Alya was going to get the surprise of a lifetime.  'Are we nearly there?' Adrien asked his kwami. 'We've been walking for aaaaages...' In reality, they'd only been walking for about five minutes, not counting the train ride. But Adrien liked to tease his kwami, as ...

The Reveal.. Almost. Part Eight!

'Oh, hello sweetie.' Sabine looked up from her baking as Marinette descended the stairs.  'I didn't see you come in before! You must've slipped past me when I was in the back.' 'Uh, yeah,' Marinette agreed absent-mindedly. 'Where's Dad?' 'He's delivering the wedding cake. Are you alright, dear? You seem distracted..' 'I'm fine, don't worry!' Marinette brushed off her mother's concerns, breathing a sigh of relief. She'd avoided any awkward explanations, this time. 'Need any help?' Before Sabine could answer, Alya walked in the door. 'Hi Marinette! Oh, and hi Mrs Cheng.' 'Go and play with your friend, darling,' Sabine instructed Marinette. 'I'm just about done here, anyways.' 'Thanks Mum!' 'Thanks, Mrs Cheng!' The two girls climbed the stairs up to Marinette's room. 'So, how's it going?' Marinette asked. 'What brings the ...

The Reveal... Almost. Part Seven!

Marinette dashed home. Her parents would be wondering where she was, and she couldn't have any suspicions thrown on her. It was bad enough as it was... Alya wandered leisurely toward the Dupain-Cheng patisserie. She didn't have anything else to do, as she had already updated the Ladyblog that day. Nino was on a family outing, and brave as she was, she still had some qualms at visiting the Agreste mansion, and braving the wrath of Gabriel. She knew, or thought she knew, that Marinette was helping her  parents, but she figured that she could lend a hand. Many hands make light work, right? Adrien was sitting on a bench, in the park when he remembered that Marinette's house was nearby. He didn't have much else to do, and it was always nice to see her, so he figured he might as well go for a visit. He stood and started walking towards the patisserie, taking a roundabout route to enjoy the Parisian scenery. As Marinette rounded the corner and the bakery came into sig...

The Reveal.. Almost. Part Six!

As Marinette walked home, Adrien was talking to his kwami.  'Do you really think she liked it? She acted kinda strange....' 'Relaaax, she probably just had a lot on her mind. You of all people-,' here Plagg paused to stuff some more cheese in his mouth- 'shulf oh ubuh hah,' Adrien looked at Plagg, annoyed. 'Don't speak with your mouth full, Plagg. You're enough of a pig as it is.' Plagg swallowed the rest of his cheese. 'I said, "You of all people should know about that." Give the girl a break. For all you know, her pet hamster died that day or something. Besides, there are plenty of other girls who like you.' 'It's not the same,' Adrien sighed.  Plagg sat down in front of the lovesick boy. For all his annoying demeanor, he did care about Adrien. 'Look, kid, why don't you go for a walk,' he said, not unkindly. 'You could use the fresh air, and a change of surroundings might give be helpfu...

The Reveal... almost. Part Five!

'He's trying to collect all the other Miraculouses, one at a time, then he will be so powerful that no-one will be able to stop him!' Master Fu said dramatically. 'That's terrible!' Marinette exclaimed. 'How will we be able to stop his plan?' 'By giving away the other Miraculouses,' Wayzz interjected. 'If they have their own holders, it will be harder for Hawkmoth to collect them.' Master Fu nodded. 'Yes. We have reason to believe that he already has the peacock Miraculous, or nearly has it. It's only a matter of time before the attacks become to much for you and Chat Noir. We need to act now!' 'But how will you figure out who the Chosen Ones will be?' Marinette asked, wide-eyed. 'That's where you come in. Can you find someone to help? Just one person for now. We will give the other Miraculouses away when the time comes.' 'Of course! I know just the person,' said Marinette, thinking of Alya. ...

The Reveal... Almost. Part Four!

As Marinette walked to Master Fu's house, she and Tikki talked about why Master Fu wanted her to come so badly. 'Maybe he deciphered some more of the code!' Marinette exclaimed. 'I can't wait to find out more about what that spell-book says...' 'That would be awesome!' Tikki agreed. 'But I don't think he would say it was urgent...' Marinette pulled out her phone to re-read the text.  "Dear Marinette I have found out important news. Please come as quickly as possible. Sincerely, Master Fu" 'I wonder what he means by, "important news"...' Marinette wondered aloud. 'I'm sure you'll find out soon,' said Tikki. 'Look, we're nearly there!' As Marinette pushed open the door, she spotted the spell-book lying open on the floor as Master Fu was studying it. 'Welcome, Marinette,' he said, looking up. 'I take it you recived my message?' 'Yes, what was the "important news...

The Reveal... Almost. Part 3!

'I only wish I had something for you!' Ladybug said, smiling. 'Your presence is the only gift I need,' Chat said with a bow. 'Now, shall we begin patrol?'  'O-of course!' Ladybug stuttered. The hairclip had made her forget about her nervousness... but it all came back now. Adrien, she thought. That's Adrien flirting with me like that.  Later that night, Chat was thinking hard. Ladybug had seemed a little strange tonight, almost like she was... nervous? 'Milady, what's the matter? You seem somehow nervous, is something wrong?' When she heard Chat's question, Ladybug almost fell off the roof they were on. 'Huh? Oh yeah.. it's nothing. J-just, you know, a little tired.' She faked a yawn. 'Are you sure, Milady?' Chat asked, concerned. 'I'm sure.' Ladybug yawned again, for real this time. 'I better get going, or I'll be late for school. Bug out!' The next day Marinette was really tired, as she ha...

The Reveal.. almost. Part Two!

Chat Noir waited impatiently at the Eiffel Tower, the pre-arranged meeting place. He paced up and down the beam, nervous as a.. well... a cat! What if Ladybug didn't like the gift? Or even worse, what if she didn't like it but pretended to, so as not to hurt his feelings? 'Cmon, Adrien, you got this,' he muttered under his breath. Ladybug took a deep breath, gathering her courage. She was standing just out of sight of the Eiffel Tower, where Adrien was waiting. No, not Adrien. Chat Noir. 'Just remember, Marinette, you have to act exactly the same or he'll be suspicious. Pretend that you don't know who he is,' she said to herself. She took one last deep breath, then grabbed her yo-yo and swung over to the Eiffel Tower. 'H-hey, Chat!' she said, trying to keep calm. 'Ladybug! You're here!' 'Yep!' she replied, glad that Chat's mask and costume (not to mention the different surroundings) made it easier to talk without stutterin...

The Reveal..... almost. Part One!

Marinette took a deep breath and tried to calm herself. She could do this. Just return Adrien's schoolbook that he dropped. Not that hard, right? She pushed open the door. 'A-adrien?' Adrien stood with his back to the door. 'Plagg, Claws out!' Tikki watched from Marinette's purse. 'Oh my goodness,' she whispered. 'I should have guessed...' Marinette slammed the door and ran away, as if to erase the sight from her mind. There had to be a mistake... a resonable explanation... something. Adrien just couldn't be Chat... they were completely different! She blushed, remembering Chat flirting with her, both as Ladybug and as Marinette. That was Adrien? The whole time? She slowed, taking a deep breath. 'Tikki? What should I do?' Chat Noir spun around as he heard the door slam. 'Hello? Is someone there?' he called, hoping no-one would answer. If someone had seen him transform... well, he wasn't sure WHAT would happen, but he was su...
